Demonstrate a high level of justice, tolerance, respect, consistency and forgiveness in dealing with your child’s misdemeanors.
1. The school expects that you will:

  • Be familiar with the school’s expectations of pupil’s and backup those expectations with your children.
  • Be available if it is necessary, to discuss the aspects of your child’s behaviour at school.
  • Exercise your rights as parent and bring to the notice of the Principal, concerns an suggestions to make school a happy and safe environment for your child.
  • Sign messages, progress reports or other similar documents when requested to do so, so as not to put your child to inconvenience.
  • Check the school diary daily, as it forms a link between the school authorities and the parents.
  • Ensure that your child brings a healthy & wholesome tiffin in the morning.
  • Offer support to school activities, and be present to support and motivate your child on different school functions.
  • Support the work of the school particularly by enforcing regularity and discipline by taking interest in your child’s progress and by extending the fullest co-operation to participation in the school activities.
  • Inculcate respect for person, property and the environment in your children.
  • Ensure that your child is not absent on the first and last day of the school term.
  • Ensure that your child never remain absent from the school without prior permission and that the leave taken from school is duly sanctioned.
  • Notify immediately for any change in address or telephone number.

2. The teaching staff expect from you that:
  • If you wish to discuss a matter of concern to you or your child, please feel free to contact the counselor. The counselor will take you to the respective teacher.
  • Do not visit any teacher directly in the classroom or in the staff room as it may disturb the school decorum.
  • Be open to listening and considering the teacher’s opinions regarding your child, even when the comments may be less than complimentary.
  • Be supportive of their action in dealing with your child. Avoid undermining them in the eyes of your child by making generalized scathing comments about individual teachers or of the teaching profession in general.
  • Find ways of letting teachers or the school to know when you are particularly pleased with your child’s progress or activities.
  • Ensure that the homework and practice exercises are regularly done and children follow an early to bead routine on weekdays.

3. Other parents expect that you will:
  • Exert firm parental discipline in case where your child’s behaviour is distracting from the quality of learning opportunities for others in the school.
  • Keep your child at home if he is suffering from contagious disease like mumps, measles, chicken pox, small pox, whooping cough, conjunctivitis (sore eyes) and send him to school with a doctor’s fitness certificate.
